Groupe du Louvre, based in Nanterre, France, was sold to Shanghai Jin Jiang International Hotels Development Co. in 2015. It was previously owned by Starwood Capital Group, who acquired Société du Louvre in 2005. The company expanded its hotel brands in 2009 with the acquisition of Golden Tulip Hospitality Group.
